The list is not extensive, but we plan to return to the topic often. Consider these articles:

14 Free AI Tools You Must Try In 2024

1. GFP-GAN — Photo Restoration

GFP-GAN is a new Free AI tool that can fix most old photos instantly. Tencent researchers developed GFP-GAN (Generative Facial Prior-Generative Adversarial Network) by merging info from two AI models to fill in a photo’s missing details with realistic detail in a few seconds while maintaining high accuracy and quality. In this video (2:26), Louis Bouchard enthusiastically describes how well the project worked at photo restoration with details on how to use it for free. The results are very impressive and work well even with very low-quality images.

You can try a demo of GFP-GAN for free. The creators have also posted their code to let anyone implement the restoration tech in their projects.

2. Copy.ai — CopyWriter

With this one, you have to “copy.” This AI-based copywriting tool generates unique content that you can post on your blog, social media, or even for a video by simply providing a short description of the topic you want content on.

Copy.AI could be helpful for content creators. The tool can help users write Instagram captions, blog posts, product descriptions, Facebook content, start-up ideas, and more.

Sign up for an account to describe your topic of interest, and the AI tool will generate content based on your description. Awesome tool that will be handy in the future of digital content.

There’s

Microcopy for headlines, slogans, and more
Speed write for rewriting and enhancing any sentence
Hemingway for making your writing bold and clear
Jarvis AI is a quality AI copywriting tool, as they say

Plus, Notion.AI has just arrived, and we’ve given it a whole paragraph below.

3. JADBio — AutoML

JADBio is a user-friendly machine learning platform that needs no expertise in coding but is equipped with powerful knowledge extraction tools. Although it is purpose-built for biotech and multi-omics, you can upload any curated data and analyze it. Very useful for students who want to dive into machine learning or people who want to build a predictive model, for example, which potato will yield the best fry (binary classification). They offer a lifetime free account, and the use is pretty straightforward.

4. DALL-E 2 — Image Creator

We guess you’ve heard all the hype about this one. DALL·E 2 by Open AI is a new AI system that can create realistic images and art from a description in natural language. It can create original, realistic images and art from a text description. It can combine concepts, attributes, and styles. It’s worth playing around with, the website has several inspiring examples. It’s completely free to use.Notion.ai — CopyWriter.

Notion is testing a new feature called Notion AI to create content. All you have to do is tell the app what you want — a blog post, a recruiting email template, a list of great business books to read- and the app creates the content right before you. Many users love Notion for note-taking, which will take it to the next level. We signed up to test it but are now on the waiting list (as of Nov.16th).’

5. Lumen5 — Video Creator

Lumen5 is an online video-making platform with tools that allow you to make videos effortlessly in a few steps. It includes great templates and various formats for different social media platforms. The AI comes in when you upload a transcript; it creates the whole video sequence, including images, using your imported transcript. It is an excellent and easy-to-use tool, especially if you want to create fast content for social media platforms. Lumen also offers an extensive range of images and videos to include in your final video.

6. Lalal.ai — Audio Stem Splitter

Lalal uses artificial intelligence to remove vocals and conduct music source separation fast, easy, and precise stem extraction. You can remove vocal, instrumental, drums, bass, piano, electric guitar, acoustic guitar, and synthesizer tracks without quality loss. It makes creativity painless!
You can start playing around as it gives you 10 minutes free, but the pay models are also very reasonable. 15 euros one-time fee for 90 minutes of processing will get you far.

Continuing from our previous post on 7 Awesome and Free AI Tools You Should Know, we’ve collected 7 more that impressed us and could have different uses, from fun to work. The talk of the town is Generative AI, so we couldn’t avoid OpenAI models even if we wanted to.

We always look for AI tools that either have a free version or are at least accessible for testing, without caveats like adding your credit card number.

As we’ve said before, the list is not exhaustive (obviously). This is our v2.

7. Krisp.ai — Noise Cancellation Software

Krisp is software that sits between your device and any online communication solution to get rid of background noise. It is especially useful for people who work from home, including contact center agents. It solves a single problem that most of us have; it’s free for basic use, and you don’t need to buy hardware with noise cancellation. You can even test the app -with or w/out- in different situations, like dog barking or baby crying.

8. Noah’s Ark — Intelligent NFTs (iNFT)

Alethea AI’s intelligent NFTs are fun now but suggestive of the future and how we’ll interact online. Alethea AI is a decentralized protocol on Ethereum used to create intelligent and interactive NFTs powered by GPT-3. The research group behind Noah’s Ark has built tools like text-to-character avatars. We are taking a step forward by incorporating intelligence into these avatars to preserve our culture, wisdom, and, generally, the collective human experience for the future.

9. Illustroke — Text-to-SVG

We’ve seen a lot of generative text-to-art AI creations, but this is the first vector-based output we’ve come across. SVG means you can open it in vector programs, like Illustrator, and play around with it. As with all these kinds of tools, it’s not easy to get it right first, but we got some exciting results with persistence and imagination. You get 2 tokens to test it for free, and 50 tokens cost a reasonable $5. One token is equivalent to one illustration generation request. In each request, 3 variants of the same illustration are produced to choose the best one.

10. Rokoko AI — Video Motion Capture

Film yourself and convert your movements into an animated avatar. You can upload a video or record your movements with a webcam or smartphone camera. The clip will be uploaded, and then through the Rokoko Studio, you can access the motion data for editing. The video can be exported using 3D tools like Blender, Unreal, etc. It’s free to try out, but there are limitations. You would need their Smartsuit and Smartgloves to create good real-time animations.

11. Perplexity AI — Querying Twitter using Natural Language

Perplexity SQL answers Twitter graph queries by translating natural language to SQL code. It uses OpenAI Codex to translate natural language into SQL, allowing for analyzing large datasets like Twitter. This is a demo of text-to-SQL translation, not a commercial product. It’s free to use. We find it a useful tool for research, using natural language to query information from Twitter.

12. Descript — Podcast Editor

As podcasters, we understand the tedious work needed to record, edit, balance, and add new content to a podcast. We like Descript because it makes the whole process much easier. The transcript for English is suitable, so editing out things you or other speakers didn’t want to say by just deleting text is super awesome. Purging the ums and uhs is also a great feature. The tool is constantly evolving, and many of the AI features included blow your mind. If you’re a content creator, podcast, video, reels, etc, this can make production less stressful. They have a free version for testing out things.

13. Browse.ai — Web Data Extractor

Browse is an AI-powered, no-code, cloud-based web automation software that extracts and monitors structured data from any site. You can train it to scrape specific content from a website by following your movements. It can get stuck, like with CAPTCHAs, but it will do its job most of the time. They offer a free option with 200 credits per month.

…and the PLUS ONE:

14. AI Content Detector — Plagiarism Detector

OpenAI created the AI Text Classifier, a fine-tuned GPT model that predicts how likely it is that a piece of text was generated by AI, including their own ChatGPT. It’s not perfect and doesn’t do well with texts under 1000 words. So, if you’re a teacher wondering if your students are using chatGPT, take it with a grain of salt. They did cook this up in a few days, so we believe it will be trained better over time.
